Do you have security at the visitation sites?

Safety for everyone involved with supervised visitations is critical.  SVP has an ongoing arrangement with the Sarasota County Sheriff and Sarasota Police Department to supply the program with a security officer on certain days of the week.  The role of the officer is to wand and search all visitors before the visit begins.  This important security measure is done out of sight of the children.  Staff and supervisors carry a programmed telephone to facilitate quick contact between staff and law enforcement in the event of an emergency.
